Myles Pye, OMP, M.OMSc

Osteopathy combines Myles’ passion for physics, problem-solving, and helping people into a practice of rehabilitative and preventative care.

It can be frustrating when you are juggling appointments, you’re in pain, and you are just not getting the resolve you are looking for. You deserve to be heard and taken seriously. If you are struggling with your activities of daily living, for example, from washing your hair to walking your dog, or if you’re feeling tight or sore whether its constant or episodic. Myles Pye M.OMSc. is here to help.

Myles Started his career 20 years ago working with physiotherapists to develop exercise plans that suited the clients/patients’ individual needs. Versed in a variety of settings such as clinical work, long term care, retirement, mental health, WSIB, MVA, aquatic therapy and more, Myles was always looking for that underlying question of “Why”. Although every healthcare practitioner is daunted with the same task and question, Osteopathy provides a unique look into how the bodies anatomy and physiology work together to keep your machine for survival running optimally. We are products of the way we live, and fortunately for us, our bodies have a built-in mechanism to compensate. The problem we then face is that the tissues that are stepping up to lend a hand to help out then get tired and sore as well, creating a domino effect which can spread in every direction. The best course of action is then to stop this in its tracks!

Myles Pye, M.OMSc., wants to teach you how to understand how your bodies healing mechanisms work, and provide the tools needed to recognize the start of these compensation patterns, and when it is necessary to seek help.

Starting with a comprehensive assessment, and full health history, Myles will walk you through the process, encouraging you to be a part of the dialogue to make sure you are informed about your health, and what you may be expecting as we move through the treatment plan. It is very important that you are able to advocate for yourself in the healthcare industry, and he wants to make sure you feel confident and ready to navigate the system.

Osteopathic treatment will be tissue dependent. The reason this is important is our bodies guard against harm. This sets new parameters to when our bodies put up their defenses, and even in some cases, the way they respond to pain. In the early stages of treatment, we may focus on getting these defenses down and guiding you in a way that helps you reset these barriers, so you know the true limit of what is available to you. By breaking this cycle of tension and guarding, apprehension and trepidation decrease, and our bodies more efficiently accept the treatment being implemented providing us more confidence through our movements

With a history of working with Toddlers to the geriatric population, you can expect unwavering empathy, patience, and a calm demeanor making him easy to talk to, and left with no doubt he has your best interests at heart.

Through principal-based Osteopathy, Myles works in the coordinated, evidence-based care model at Carespace, where he works collaboratively with other disciplines to make sure your health is our number one priority. The longer your pain and movement restrictions go unchecked, the longer the road to recovery, so an open dialogue between the client/patient and the practitioners’ goals must align. With Myles you can always expect transparency and clarity as to where you stand with your treatment, and where you are headed.
