Kanan Solanki, BPT, MPT, PT

When pain or changing mobility interrupts your life, Kanan helps you work toward moving with confidence.

When everyday movements become difficult, you need more than a list of exercises—you need a plan that makes sense for your life. Kanan Solanki, BPT, MPT, PT brings a master’s education in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, experience across hospital, clinic, and long-term care settings, and a commitment to helping you regain function and independence.

At CARESPACE Health+Wellness, she provides physiotherapy in Cambridge with a compassionate, individualized approach. You might be managing a sore shoulder, recovering from an injury, or working toward everyday movement after a stroke. Kanan’s focus is on understanding what is limiting you, identifying rehabilitation goals, and helping you work toward the activities you want to return to.

Your starting point matters, whether your priority is returning to exercise, moving more comfortably at work, or feeling steadier during daily tasks. Your care is built around those priorities, with attention to both the physical challenges you are experiencing and what greater independence would mean in your day.

Your care starts with broad physiotherapy experience and stays connected to what you need to do.

With Kanan Solanki, BPT, MPT, PT, you have access to comprehensive physiotherapy care, with particular focus on Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Sports Rehabilitation, and Neurological Rehabilitation. Her experience includes acute and persistent musculoskeletal conditions, post-operative recovery, stroke rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary concerns. Those areas sit alongside support for the everyday back, neck, knee, and shoulder difficulties that may have brought you here.

Her background combines clinical assessment and rehabilitation planning with practical experience supporting mobility and independence in long-term care. That combination keeps your treatment connected to real activities, rather than focusing only on how you move during an appointment.

Through individualized exercise, manual therapy, education, and ongoing reassessment, she works with you toward reducing pain and restoring movement. Just as importantly, your plan includes guidance you can use between appointments, so your rehabilitation remains connected to your daily life.

Your assessment gives your treatment direction, and your progress helps shape what comes next.

Your care begins with a comprehensive assessment of your physical condition and mobility limitations. Kanan considers the movements that are difficult, the activities you need to manage, and the goals you want to work toward. This establishes a starting point for treatment tailored to you, rather than an exercise program chosen simply because you have a particular diagnosis.

Her approach to physiotherapy brings together therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, functional training, and education. You receive guidance on home exercises and self-management, including injury prevention and ergonomics when relevant. Follow-up assessments help her monitor your response and adjust treatment as your needs change.

At CARESPACE Hespeler Road clinic in Cambridge, your care also benefits from a coordinated, multidisciplinary setting. Kanan has experience collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and additional disciplines can be involved when appropriate to your goals. The emphasis remains on a connected plan: helping you understand what you are working on, how your care fits together, and what you can practise outside the clinic.

Kanan’s education and hands-on rehabilitation experience bring both clinical knowledge and everyday function into your care.

Kanan earned her Bachelor of Physiotherapy through S.B.B. College of Physiotherapy at Gujarat University and her Master of Physiotherapy through KTG College of Physiotherapy at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Her master’s focus in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation provides a foundation for assessing movement limitations and planning rehabilitation around physical function.

Her experience includes orthopedic and rehabilitation work in a government hospital in India, followed by Canadian roles in clinics and long-term care. Earlier, as a physiotherapy assistant at Stirling Heights Long Term Care in Cambridge, she supported rehabilitation exercises, mobility training, range-of-motion work, and functional activities. That experience brings attention to the practical steps involved in maintaining everyday independence.

She also completed postgraduate studies in Healthcare Administration and Service Management at Conestoga College, complementing her experience in care coordination and clinical documentation. Her additional education includes a 14-hour Clinical Neurodynamic course through Neurodynamic Solutions and an aerobics and group fitness instructor training workshop. These educational experiences sit alongside her clinical work in exercise prescription, individualized rehabilitation planning, and ongoing progress monitoring.

Your orthopedic, sports, or neurological rehabilitation is built around progress that matters beyond the clinic.

Orthopedic rehabilitation addresses the back, neck, knee, shoulder, and other musculoskeletal concerns that interfere with your routine. If an acute injury, persistent pain, or recovery after surgery has changed how you move, Kanan draws on assessment, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training to develop your plan. The goal is not simply to practise a movement during an appointment, but to work toward its everyday purpose—reaching, walking, bending, or managing your usual responsibilities. Your progress is reviewed so treatment can respond to what is improving and what remains difficult.

Sports rehabilitation supports your return to activity when an injury has interrupted something you enjoy. Your goal may be getting back to the gym, resuming recreational sport, or participating without repeatedly stopping because of discomfort. Kanan’s master’s focus in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation informs her approach to individualized exercise and functional recovery. Your starting ability, activity goals, and response to treatment help shape your plan. Rather than attaching your recovery to a fixed promise, she monitors your progress and adjusts your rehabilitation as you work toward the demands of your activity.

Neurological rehabilitation is another area of focus, including experience with stroke rehabilitation. If you are rebuilding everyday abilities after a stroke, Kanan’s rehabilitation background and earlier long-term care work bring attention to mobility, strength, balance, and independence. Depending on your assessment, goals may involve moving around more confidently, managing transfers, or participating more fully in daily activities. Your program is individualized and adjusted as you respond, recognizing that your priorities and pace of progress are personal. The focus is on meaningful function—not comparing your recovery with anyone else’s.
