About Mariana

Mariana is a dedicated psychotherapist who specializes in providing empathetic support to those who are navigating anxiety, mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, and challenges related to unhelpful thinking patterns, low motivation, navigating life transitions, and problematic coping strategies. With a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and emotion-regulation skills, Mariana integrates these approaches to help you reach meaningful change and emotional well-being. Mariana holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Toronto Mississauga and a Master of Science in Psychotherapy from McMaster University. Her educational background in conjunction with her experience as a student psychotherapist at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Mood Disorders Treatment and Research Clinic and ACT training, equips her with a deep understanding of psychological principles in CBT and ACT. Central to Mariana’s practice is her commitment to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and supported. She is dedicated to helping you explore your inner experiences, work on personal development, and ultimately become empowered to manage your own mental health.
