Zarna Nakrani, BPT, PT
When movement becomes difficult, Zarna Nakrani helps you take the next step with greater confidence.
When pain changes the way you move, or you are concerned about your child’s physical development, you deserve guidance that takes your worries seriously. Zarna Nakrani, BPT, PT, offers physiotherapy in Kitchener with a thoughtful approach informed by experience in pediatric, adult, and older-adult rehabilitation. At CARESPACE Health+Wellness, Zarna helps you connect the concern that brought you in with the everyday activities you want to enjoy again. That might mean moving more comfortably at work, rebuilding strength after surgery, supporting your child’s participation in play, or maintaining your independence as you age.
Her approach brings together careful assessment, individualized treatment, and practical education. Rather than focusing only on where something hurts, she considers how your movement, strength, mobility, posture, and daily demands fit together. You are part of that conversation from the beginning, with room to explain what has changed, ask questions, and identify what meaningful progress would look like in your life.
Zarna’s broad physiotherapy background supports you through injury, recovery, and different stages of life.
Zarna Nakrani, BPT, PT, is an internationally educated Registered Physiotherapist who provides comprehensive physiotherapy care, including support for back and neck pain, joint and muscle concerns, post-operative recovery, stiffness, and changes in mobility. You do not need to arrive with a neatly defined problem to talk about what is making movement difficult.Alongside this general foundation, her particular areas of focus are pediatric conditions, musculoskeletal conditions, and cardiopulmonary conditions. Her experience across different stages of life informs how she adapts rehabilitation to your abilities, priorities, and circumstances.
You can also communicate with Zarna in English, Hindi, or Gujarati. Being able to describe your concerns and understand the plan matters, especially when you are discussing your child’s development or helping a family member navigate rehabilitation.
Your first visit starts with your story and leads to a plan you understand.
Your first visit begins with listening: what is troubling you, what your days involve, and what you would like to do more comfortably. Zarna considers your functional limitations alongside movement, strength, mobility, posture, and the demands of your routine. The goal is an individualized plan that connects the assessment with your priorities. Her approach to physiotherapy may include therapeutic exercise, mobility and functional training, hands-on techniques when appropriate, and education about posture and movement. You receive practical strategies that can be incorporated into daily life, rather than leaving rehabilitation entirely inside the treatment room.
At CARESPACE Westmount in Kitchener, your care can also draw on CARESPACE’s coordinated, multidisciplinary approach. When another discipline could support your goals, collaboration helps keep the broader plan focused on what matters to you. Zarna’s experience working within rehabilitation teams supports that shared approach. Throughout your care, she encourages questions and active participation. You should understand what you are working on, why it matters, and how it relates to the activities you are trying to regain.
Zarna’s education and rehabilitation experience give your care a foundation in both assessment and everyday function.
Zarna earned her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and completed a University of Alberta bridging course for practice in the Canadian healthcare system. Her background combines international physiotherapy education with additional preparation for the healthcare setting in which you receive care today. Her clinical work at Sakariya Physiotherapy Clinic in Surat included evaluating functional abilities, establishing treatment goals, and using play-based therapy in pediatric rehabilitation. That experience connects assessment with the practical question at the centre of your care: what you are working toward being able to do.
In Canada, Zarna has worked as a physiotherapy assistant at Cambridge Country Manor and Lifemark Seniors Wellness. These roles involved following treatment plans, communicating within rehabilitation teams, and supporting continuity of care.
Her additional training includes Muscle Energy Technique, aerobic instruction, and a 2024 Gentle Persuasive Approach certification for dementia care. Together with her experience across age groups, these qualifications complement a practice that values movement, clear communication, and care adapted to your circumstances.
Your goals guide Zarna’s approach to childhood development, musculoskeletal recovery, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
Your child’s movement skills can be supported through play that feels familiar and engaging. Perhaps you have noticed difficulty with balance, coordination, movement milestones, or keeping up with everyday activities. Zarna takes time to listen to those observations and understand your concerns, then uses assessment to guide the next steps. Her child-friendly, play-based approach uses age-appropriate games and activities to work on gross motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, mobility, posture, and participation. The focus is not simply completing an exercise; it is connecting movement practice with the ways your child plays and takes part in daily life. You are an important part of that process. Zarna explains her findings and shares practical ways to support movement through your family’s routines. Goals are individualized, with attention to your child’s abilities and the activities that matter to you.
For back and neck pain, joint or muscle injuries, postural discomfort, or recovery after surgery, Zarna considers both your symptoms and the tasks they affect. Treatment may combine therapeutic exercise, mobility work, functional training, and appropriate hands-on techniques. The aim is to work toward changes you can connect to daily life—such as greater mobility, improved strength, and more confidence returning to activities—rather than focusing on pain alone. Education supports your understanding of how posture, movement patterns, and everyday demands relate to your concerns.
When you are seeking support for a heart or lung condition, Zarna’s experience also includes cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Her individualized approach considers your functional limitations and personal goals, with an emphasis on mobility, participation, and independence. You can discuss what feels difficult in daily life and work toward a plan that reflects your current abilities and the activities you hope to manage more confidently.
