Gyeong Kim, RP, Rev. Dr.

Gyeong Kim is an experienced therapist as he has practiced professional counselling more than 15 years in US, S. Korea, and Canada. In Canada, he has practiced psychotherapy since 2018. In U.S., he practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Pastoral Counselor since 2010. He taught theories of professional counselling, psychotherapy, pastoral/spiritual care, and family systems therapy and provided supervision to practicum students in the field of professional counseling over 15 years in three different universities as a full-time faculty. He believes no single theory/modality can explain the complex human experience and uses various theories and modalities of psychotherapy integrally to enhance the holistic wellbeing. The special areas of his expertise, though, are psychodynamic psychotherapy, spiritually integrated psychotherapy, and couple and family systems therapy. He earned his master’s degree from Emory University and doctorate degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in the field of counselling and spiritual care. Currently he is an RP at the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
