Spondylolisthesis is a spinal condition where one vertebra slips forward over the one below it due to instability. It can occur in any part of the spine, but it is most commonly found in the lumbar (lower back) region.
The most common symptom of spondylolisthesis is lower back pain, which may radiate down to the buttocks and legs. Stiffness or soreness in the affected part of the spine is commonly reported. Another symptom of spondylolisthesis may be numbness, tingling sensations or weakness in the legs due to compression of nerve pathways traveling from the affected vertebrae. In cases where there is considerable slippage of one vertebra over another, a patient may experience difficulty with activities such as bending, lifting or twisting their trunk.
Treatment for spondylolisthesis depends largely on the severity of the condition, but there are a variety of approaches available to help manage the symptoms. Chiropractic care can be an effective way to treat aches, pains and immobility associated with Spondylolisthesis. Through chiropractic adjustments targeting the problem area, chiropractors can help lessen discomfort caused by muscle tension and misalignment of vertebrae. Physiotherapy is another popular option, which involves specific exercises tailored to improve core strength and reduce pain. Massage therapy is also a great choice for reducing inflammation which often occurs with this condition. With any treatment approach it is recommended to seek the advice of a qualified health practitioner who will work with you to develop a tailored plan that works best for you.
Back pain is something that many people struggle with every day, but why does it occur in the first place? Common causes of back pain can include facet joint syndrome, herniated discs, lower back pain, lumbar facet joint arthrosis, lumbar radiculopathy, lumbar stenosis, osteoporosis, sciatica, spinal stenosis, trapezius strain, and upper back pain. It’s important to be aware of these potential sources of discomfort in order to reduce your risk for injury and make preventive lifestyle changes that will keep your back healthy and happy. Consultation with a qualified professional at CARESPACE can help determine the best solution to alleviate any discomfort experienced.

I have been receiving treatment from Dr. Webster for a few months and I've been feeling much better. I had sever knee, shoulder and back pain. I couldn't squat or do push ups without my joints screaming at me. But now I'm not able to only do all those but also feel stronger. The most important piece is that she listened and took my history of many injuries into consideration. And as a dancer, I couldn't have asked for a better chiropractor who not only helped me feel better but also understood my needs.
I also brought my grandmother to Dr. Torreiter for her back pain for acupuncture. He was extremely kind, understanding, compassionate and everything that I could ask for. He made her feel comfortable and explained every step during each treatment. He made sure that she was well taken care of and also made other important referrals that lead to her recovery.
So far I have referred my whole family to these two wonderful individuals and everyone's experience has been equally great. Thanks to them we all are doing much better!
