Effective treatment for shoulder labral tears

There are many causes of shoulder labral tears
The causes of shoulder labral tears include physical trauma, frequent overhead motions, age-related degeneration and abnormal positioning or motion of the shoulder joint. To help recover from such an injury, chiropractic care is often recommended as it helps to restore shoulder joint alignment and reduce joint pain. Physiotherapy is also beneficial in increasing range of motion while also strengthening any injured muscles. Massage therapy is also recommended to reduce inflammation, decrease pain, improve mobility and minimize muscle spasms.

A shoulder labral tear is a common injury caused by instability in the shoulder joint. The shoulder is a ball and socket joint – the head of the humerus or arm bone sits firmly in the shallow socket of the shoulder blade, held together by strong ligaments and tendons called labrum. When the labrum is torn, it can cause pain, limited range of motion, instability, and a feeling of popping or catching in the joint.
Common symptoms of a shoulder labral tear include sensations of grinding or popping when moving the shoulder joint, sharp pain in the shoulder that is worse with certain movements, loss of range of motion and strength in the shoulder area, difficulty reaching up over the head or behind the back, nighttime pain that interrupts sleep patterns, soreness in the shoulder after partaking in certain activities, persistent aches and pains that are deep within the shoulder joint or radiating into other areas such as neck and upper arm.
Shoulder labral tears can be treated in many ways depending on the individual’s needs. For those looking to avoid any type of surgical intervention, chiropractic care or physiotherapy may be an effective way to address shoulder labral tears. Common chiropractic techniques used to treat shoulder stability and mobility issues include mobilization, traction and soft tissue work. Physiotherapists may recommend stretching and strengthening exercises as well as specific manual therapies like joint mobilizations or nerve glides. Massage therapy can also be beneficial for muscle relaxation and improving shoulder range of motion.
Shoulder pain is something that people struggle with every day, but why does it occur in the first place? Common causes of shoulder pain can include AC joint sprain, AC joint strain, calcific tendonitis, long head of biceps tendinopathy, rotator cuff tear, rotator cuff tendinopathy, shoulder bursitis, shoulder impingement syndrome, shoulder instability, shoulder osteoarthritis, and shoulder slap lesion. It’s important to be aware of these potential sources of discomfort in order to reduce your risk for injury and take preventative actions that will keep your shoulders healthy and happy. Consultation with a qualified professional at CARESPACE can help determine the best solution to alleviate any discomfort experienced.

I have been receiving treatment from Dr. Webster for a few months and I've been feeling much better. I had sever knee, shoulder and back pain. I couldn't squat or do push ups without my joints screaming at me. But now I'm not able to only do all those but also feel stronger. The most important piece is that she listened and took my history of many injuries into consideration. And as a dancer, I couldn't have asked for a better chiropractor who not only helped me feel better but also understood my needs.
I also brought my grandmother to Dr. Torreiter for her back pain for acupuncture. He was extremely kind, understanding, compassionate and everything that I could ask for. He made her feel comfortable and explained every step during each treatment. He made sure that she was well taken care of and also made other important referrals that lead to her recovery.
So far I have referred my whole family to these two wonderful individuals and everyone's experience has been equally great. Thanks to them we all are doing much better!
