Effective treatment for lumbar stenosis
There are many causes of lumbar stenosis
Lumbar stenosis is typically caused by the wear and tear of age such as disc degeneration, trauma from an injury, or changes resulting from surgery. Other factors that may lead to lumbar stenosis are the formation of bone spurs, herniated discs and thickened ligaments. Chiropractic treatment can help provide relief by strengthening core muscles and improving joint mobility. Physiotherapy also works to treat any misalignments or weakness in your spine which can alleviate tension on your lower back. Additionally, massage therapy can be used to help reduce muscle tension or spasms that may be contributing to your symptoms.

Lumbar stenosis is a medical condition that occurs when the spinal canal, which houses and protects the spinal cord, becomes narrowed. The narrowing of the space puts pressure on the nerves in the spine and can cause pain in the lower back or legs. This condition often occurs as people age due to the degeneration of spinal discs and bones or the formation of bone spurs.
Symptoms of lumbar stenosis typically include pain in the lower back and/or legs while standing or walking, but may also be caused by prolonged sitting or lying down. The pain often radiates through the buttocks and can worsen with repetitive motion. Other common symptoms include decreased sensation or numbness of the legs and feet, as well as problems with maintaining one’s balance while walking. In extreme cases, complete paralysis of the lower limbs may occur due to pressure on the nerves running through this area of the body. If you experience any of these symptoms it is important to speak with your doctor immediately for further evaluation and treatment.
Treatment for lumbar stenosis varies depending on the severity and cause of the condition, but can include chiropractic care, physiotherapy, anti-inflammatory medications, injections or massage therapy. A chiropractor may recommend manual spinal manipulation to improve posture and range of motion while physiotherapy focuses on strengthening core muscles to reduce strain. Massage therapy is beneficial in loosening tight muscles surrounding the spine and loosening joint restrictions.
Back pain is something that many people struggle with every day, but why does it occur in the first place? Common causes of back pain can include facet joint syndrome, herniated discs, lower back pain, lumbar facet joint arthrosis, lumbar radiculopathy, osteoporosis, sciatica, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, trapezius strain, and upper back pain. It’s important to be aware of these potential sources of discomfort in order to reduce your risk for injury and make preventive lifestyle changes that will keep your back healthy and happy. Consultation with a qualified professional at CARESPACE can help determine the best solution to alleviate any discomfort experienced.

I have been receiving treatment from Dr. Webster for a few months and I've been feeling much better. I had sever knee, shoulder and back pain. I couldn't squat or do push ups without my joints screaming at me. But now I'm not able to only do all those but also feel stronger. The most important piece is that she listened and took my history of many injuries into consideration. And as a dancer, I couldn't have asked for a better chiropractor who not only helped me feel better but also understood my needs.
I also brought my grandmother to Dr. Torreiter for her back pain for acupuncture. He was extremely kind, understanding, compassionate and everything that I could ask for. He made her feel comfortable and explained every step during each treatment. He made sure that she was well taken care of and also made other important referrals that lead to her recovery.
So far I have referred my whole family to these two wonderful individuals and everyone's experience has been equally great. Thanks to them we all are doing much better!
